Odawara Castle

Odawara Castle is one of the most popular sightseeing spots in Odawara. It’s about a 10-minute walk from Odawara Station, so it’s very easy to access.
I wrote in another article about how to get to Odawara Castle on foot from Odawara Station in English, so please check it here👉https://shiro-meguri.com/how-to-walk-from-odawara-station-to-odawara-castle/
Odawara Castle has a large site and many things to see. You can also enter the castle tower, and the inside is a museum.

It’s a great place to experience Japanese history and enjoy beautiful views from the top of the castle.
Lunchtime🍴✧︎
If you want to eat fresh seafood, I recommended 「Daruma Restaurant」

This restaurant was recommended when visiting Odawara Castle. It’s easy to walk about 5 minutes from Odawara Castle, and the food you eat in a building designated as a registered tangible cultural property is even more special.”
I arrived around 14:00, but There was a waiting line of about 6 groups. recommend going early to avoid waiting.
You can eat fresh seafood from Odawara Port because it arrives directly at the shop every morning😊

By the way, I highly recommend the horse mackerel sashimi that I tried.
It was fresh, rich in flavor, and absolutely delicious.
This restaurant is a great place to enjoy local seafood during your trip to Odawara.
Minaka Odawara

After lunch, I visited Minaka Odawara, a shopping and cultural complex located right in front of Odawara Station.
It features a traditional Edo-style street atmosphere where you can enjoy local food, souvenirs, and beautiful views.
It’s a great place to relax and pick up some local specialties before heading home.
You can also enjoy a panoramic view of Odawara from the observation deck.
There are also accommodations here, so if you plan to visit Odawara or Hakone, I recommend staying in this area.
